This photo was taken for the shutter speed assignment. What I like about this photo is how you see in details of each droplet before it hits the water.
I also like how the blueness of the water is reflected better with the blackness of the background. My point of view was from slightly above and close up. I took this picture using a shutter speed of 1/250 of a second. |
I selected this photo because of how simple it looked yet is fill with many elements within the photo. Compositionally, there is strong shadows within the background because of the shadows created by the natural light of the sun. Also there is line and shapes
shown by the direction of the power lines. To take this photo I used my iphone at a distance and the camera slightly tilted by mistake. |
This photo was taken for the studio portrait assignment. What I like about this photo is the look of determination and focus created by the look and lighting on michael. My point of view was from direct and close up to the model. The photo follows the rule of thirds because the model is directly in the middle of the photo. The depth of field is close up to the basketball followed by the model behind it. The ISO was set to around 400 and the White Balance was on shade.

Looking at this photo, the compositional element that is most apparent is the rhythm created by the lights. There is also color and shapes seen by the movement of the lights. When I edited this photo, I adjusted the colors of the lights to give it more original look. The camera was set to a shutter speed of 4 seconds. This photo makes me think of the heart machine at the hospital or bass of a song.

I selected this photo because of the shadows and texture shown by the cloth. Compositionally, there is shapes created by the lines of the cloth. Also there is contrast shown by the shadows and where the lighting is hitting the cloth. This photo reminds me of a background a pet photographer would use in a photoshoot.
